Filament Types and Color Options

 

  • Standard PLA: Easy to print, rigid, and available in a wide color spectrum, offering excellent detail reproduction.
    • Solid Colors: Black, White, Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, Orange, etc.
  • PLA+ / PLA Pro: Modified for improved toughness, higher impact resistance, and better layer adhesion compared to standard PLA.
  • Silk PLA: Provides a shiny, glossy, and smooth surface finish, popular for decorative, non-functional prints.
    • Silk/Metallic: Shiny, reflective finishes (e.g., Gold, Silver, Silk Copper).
    • Dual/Tri-Color (Co-Extrusion): Filament with multiple colors per strand, resulting in color-shifting prints.
  • Matte PLA: Delivers a non-reflective, modern finish that often hides layer lines well.
    • Dual/Tri-Color (Co-Extrusion): Filament with multiple colors per strand, resulting in color-shifting prints.
  • Composite PLA: Infused with materials like wood fibers, carbon fiber, or metal particles for unique aesthetic or structural properties.
    • Filament with colors such as marble, wood, straw and others give a real look to your models
  • Glow-in-the-Dark PLA: Contains phosphorous materials that absorb light and glow, commonly in green, blue, yellow, or orange.
  • Glitter PLA: (PLA) infused with metallic or glitter particles to create a shimmering, sparkly, or shiny finish on printed objects. It is popular for decorative, aesthetic prints because the particles hide layer lines and add a unique, glittery texture

  • Gradient PLA  is a 3D printing filament that transitions between colors or shades along the length of the spool. It creates aesthetic, multi-colored, or matte gradient effects on a single print without requiring multiple extruders or manual filament changes. This comes in both matte and silk filaments

  • Color temperature changing filament: (often called thermochromic PLA) is a 3D printer material that changes color based on temperature fluctuations, typically transitioning between two colors (e.g., green to yellow, purple to pink) when exposed to heat, such as from hands or hot water

Our simple customization process

Customizing your 3D print with JG Printing is straightforward. Simply pick the item you want from our catalogue. Each item will have the sections of the model that can be different colors, and ask for you to input the colors you would like. Size will be default unless stated in your response to colors, as well as if you wanted anything specific written on the print or added to the print. If have questions, please email me directly for quotes for larger jobs or one of a kind prints, I respond in 48 hours or less typically.
